  • Pharmacy business, economics, management & leadership training

Our Success Stories

Our unique foundation training programme (formerly pre-registration training) produced a C&D National Pre-registration Graduate of the Year (Siraaj Bukera – click here to read his story), the first winner of the Buttercups National Pre-registration Student of the Year (Daniel Jones), and also the youngest ever GPhC inspector (Craig Whitelock-Wainwright). We manage to get our trainees to achieve their potential by providing a warm, friendly and welcoming environment which allows our trainees to flourish. We also have a senior pharmacist assigned to provide additional support pastoral care.

Career Opportunities

Foundation trainees who have completed their training with Imaan Healthcare have been able to accelerate their career progression across sectors. Many trainees, immediately upon qualifying, have been able to get jobs in hospital, general practice, primary care networks, academia (PhD), foundation training & education and of course community pharmacy, including as managers. Some former trainees have now become business partners and own shares in the pharmacies they manage.

GPhC Exam Preparation

Our monthly study days and additional support sessions are designed with one goal in mind – giving you the best possible chance of passing the GPhC exam. Clinical study days are delivered by our educational partners at Pioneer Primary Care Training. They will cover all the clinical therapeutic areas most important for the GPhC exam and all calculations topics. Knowledge will be assessed with regular tests and a mock exam, followed by a review session. Additional sessions will be delivered where more support is required. Bonus educational sessions will also be delivered by consultants and pharmacists with special interests.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will I do during my placements?

During your General Practice placement you will learn how to work as a GP pharmacist; you will conduct clinical medication reviews and may run clinics alongside lots of other clinical activities. During your community placement you will be given the opportunity to take the lead in providing services such as smoking cessation, substance misuse, flu & Covid vaccinations, blood pressure testing, blood glucose monitoring, health promotion campaigns and much more.

What other opportunities will I be given?

We allow our trainees to experience some time in hospital, this is usually arranged either by the local hospital or the trainee. Depending on your location, you will also be given the opportunity to experience working at our head office and with our area managers.

How will I be supported during the process?

Another highlight of training with Imaan Healthcare is the support network. This ensures you are supported clinically, professionally, and emotionally. At no point in the year will you feel isolated as there will always be someone on-hand to support you. The Imaan Healthcare Pre-registration network consists of:

  • Your designated supervisors

  • The foundation training lead, Khalid Khan, who supervises both trainees and tutors

  • The Pastoral Lead and Professional Development Lead, Saquib Rahman

  • Online trainee support group

What support is offered after I qualify?

Once you qualify, we will continue to support you throughout your career and help you choose the career path most suited to you. Some of our ex-trainees are now our business partners. We also have an alumni group where we share unique and interesting job opportunities from all sectors of pharmacy.
