Our unique Pre-registration Pharmacist training programme produced the first winner of the Buttercups National Pre-registration Student of the Year (Daniel Jones) and also the youngest ever GPhC inspector (Craig Whitelock-Wainwright). Imaan Healthcare pharmacies combine two training providers – ProPharmace and GreenLife Pharma, providing an RPS-accredited and GPhC-approved training programme covering exam preparation, clinical topics, consultation skills, law & ethics, first aid, calculations and professional development. You will receive training in pharmacy business, economics, management and leadership. You will also be given protected study time every week.

Whilst working onsite, you will be given a dedicated tutor and will learn to adopt the roles and responsibilities of your supervising pharmacist. You will be given the opportunity to take the lead in providing services including smoking cessation, substance misuse, flu vaccinations, blood pressure testing, blood glucose monitoring, health promotion campaigns and much more.

During the Pre-registration training year, you will be encouraged to gain experience in different sectors and with different healthcare professionals e.g. hospital, diabetes nurses, respiratory nurses, anticoagulation clinics, etc. Depending on your location you will also be given the opportunity to experience working at our head office and with area managers. Once you qualify we will continue to support you throughout your career and help you choose the career path most suited to you.

Crucially, despite the high standards we set our pre-registration trainees throughout the year, we have gained an excellent reputation for producing a warm and welcoming learning environment, described by many trainees as being like a supportive family.

Imaan Healthcare aims to provide GP Practice placements for all trainees. In most cases this will be for 6 months.
